We first spoke to Edmunds Design & Construction Ltd about carrying out work on our property in early summer 2012, to get a quote for the extension of our bungalow. It was not a typical extension though as we wanted to build out to the side and rear, effectively doubling the size of the house, as well as rearranging nearly every room in the existing floor plan. We went for several quotes for this work with condition that all would have to come and see the site and talk with us first. It was during this site visit that we made our initial decision that Edmunds Design & Construction were the desired contractor of choice. When the quotes came back in we were blown away with the cost of our plans, but after sitting down with two shortlisted building contractors we managed to agree a price with Edmunds Design & Construction that was agreeable to both parties whilst retaining the volume of work necessary. Once the team had started work on the house we had several comments from our neighbours who were impressed by the speed of which the shell was constructed. This productivity was hampered slightly due to the adverse weather conditions, but the team worked hard when weather permitted to reduce any slippage to the schedule. We felt comfortable enough with Edmunds Design & Construction managing the job that we didn't have to be at the site every day, which was lucky as the building work commencing coincided with the arrival of our second daughter. After four months of hard work by the team, and some very long days in the last few weeks, our property was returned to us transformed from our old 2 bed bungalow, into a 3 bed, 2 reception room, 2 bathroom house. Post build support had been great with nothing too much trouble to ensure customer satisfaction, even though we live 50 miles away.

For our extension, we wanted a room that could be used as a play room during the day and an adult lounge space during the evening. We wanted light, a view of the surrounding fields and a decking area we could use for entertaining. Edmunds Design & Construction Ltd had some great ideas, and together we came up with a fantastic space that combines practicality, modern living and finesse. We're very pleased with the service we received and hope to have the company return later in the year to convert our garage.

From the moment that Edmunds Design & Construction arrived to look at our bathroom and give a quote, I knew we were in good hands. They were full of ideas and enthusiasm for the project, and I sensed a real conviction that they would ensure the job was of the very highest spec that was possible to achieve... and so it proved to be. We wholeheartedly agreed to go ahead and since that time, dealing with the company has been a pleasure. They have handled all aspects of the task in a professional, helpful manner including the bits that didn't go so well at some points. Nothing was ever a drama, and we have ended up with a really beautiful shower room that we are very pleased with in all respects. I would recommend Edmunds Design & Construction Ltd and their team, and will certainly use them in the future if we have more building jobs.

We were delighted with the work performed in refurbishing our bathroom. The project involved a new bathroom suite being fitted, repairs to decayed pipework and new wall tiles and redecoration. We would not hesitate to recommend Edmunds Design & Construction Ltd. for future projects.

We recently had our old ground floor extension demolished and replaced with a new, modern building. From start to finish, Edmunds Design & Construction were professional, thorough and tidy. The work carried out was to a high standard, and the project management skills ensured that each integral part of the build was completed on time, ensuring that the project ran smoothly and was completed within the time frame given. Good communications were maintained with both us (the customer) and the individual suppliers, which made the experience a pleasure rather than the usual stress that goes along with doing any kind of building work.
